Japan is a country of 126 million people, of which only .5% to 2% follow Jesus, making it one of the largest unreached nations in the world. Japan is a place of incredible beauty, rich culture and technological advancement and yet, it also faces major challenges such as loneliness, depression, alarmingly high suicide rates as well as a culture of over-work. The Japanese have a deep need for Jesus and the gospel, especially amongst young people who are desperately searching for something more – what an incredible mission opportunity!

Megumi Digital aims to give you a taste of ministry with the Japanese, to see whether God might be calling you to mission in Japan for a year or longer. Given the pandemic, we will all head to (likely) Melbourne – where we’ll be living together in shared accommodation to enjoy all the benefits of community and life-discipleship. We’ll cook, eat and have fun together and regularly connect digitally with the Nagoya Student Impact staff, students and ministry. We’ll also have many opportunities to bring Jesus to Japanese students as we connect with them digitally through social media, gaming, language learning apps, Zoom and more. 

Come and help us experiment, pioneer and ultimately help Japanese students take steps toward Jesus. 

Location: Wherever we have the most people (probably Melbourne, potentially Brisbane) and Online working with the team in Nagoya, Japan.
